Designed for life & work with dogs

Experience the unparalleled versatility of our dog walking system, offering infinite configurations that empower dog-care professionals and dog lovers alike to navigate the ever-evolving dynamics of walking multiple dogs on leash.

Highly Recommended

Backed by a 4.93 / 5 rating and over 500 reviews, our dog gear company stands out among the rest.

We also come highly recommended in social media groups for dog-care professionals, because our designs are the epitome of industry expertise.

We have thoughtfully integrated 10,000+ hours of our own dog walking experience and years of user feedback from other dog care professionals since our launch in May 2017. This gear is a much-need community collaboration, and with our in-house workshop we've tested, discarded and approved many ideas, materials and hardware. What surfaces on our website is our very best.

A Lesson in Leadership

Our company founder, Taylor Leedahl, has 10,000+ hours as a professional dog walker. That experience inspires the designs at TinyHorse.

Here’s one (short) story about the original group of dogs Taylor walked while innovating our leash system for walking multiple dogs.

8 Stress-Reducing Benefits

TinyHorse gear is meticulously engineered to minimize physical and emotional strain, enabling you to deepen the bonds within your crew.

Superior Safety Design

The auto-locking carabiners that connect your dog to the system offer top-notch security, preventing accidental unclipping. They're twice as strong as traditional clips with a 4KN break strength and are remarkably lightweight and quiet.

Ergonomic Comfort

Reduce physical strain with the Lead-All leash system. Shift the pressure away from your hands and wrists to a connecting ring for a more comfortable walk, eliminating the micro fatigue that causes chronic pain.

Reconfigure your "lead point" by taking advantage of the many ways you can reconfigure our gear. Lower back sore? Walk dogs using your chest. Shoulders sore? Go hand-held for the day. By rotating where your body is strained, you allow rest and healing to happen.

Our products are designed with your body's natural position in mind. We want your handles to be where your hands are placed at rest, and for you to exert less effort in managing all the lines. Our designs are strategic.

Manage Tangles

Managing tangles is an art, but with TinyHorse gear you have multiple strategies at your disposal.

  • Two never tangle. Swivel out of every tangle like magic, no matter how squirrely your dogs are.
  • Three's a breeze. Just unclip your main lead, grab two leashes below the tangle and pull them apart until the leashes have spun out of the knot. Re-clip your lead.
  • Create a strategy using the previous two rules to manage large groups of dogs — we define a large group as four or more. So, for example if you have four dogs that move around a lot on leash, break them into two groups of two. With a group on either side, the dogs will swivel out of every tangle.

Tailored Control

Customize leash lengths with the adjusting slide to toggle the distance between dogs, and to enhance control with specific dogs who need more guidance. This means you can prevent one dog who is more active on leash from pulling on another dog who is not.

Our system is far more versatile and comfortable for dogs than a classic coupler.

Manage Large Groups

We recommend using multiple connecting rings to effectively manage large groups (4+ dogs). This is particularly important if the dogs you handle are anything less than well-seasoned walkers.

You can work on grouping more dogs on one ring later in your walk after the dogs have released their initial excitement.

With our gear you can easily try many different configurations on a single walk to figure out how best to accommodate the dogs and yourself (don't forget about your own well-being!) in any given moment. We all know that the energy at the end of the walk is completely different than at the beginning of walk — you need to be flexible, so is our gear!

Hands-Free Convenience

Our wearable products offer physical connections to your body, allowing you to walk dogs hands-free. All our wearable products are designed with instinctive handle placements, so you can reach for control within a moment's notice.

Just because you can be hands free doesn't mean you always need to be or should be. Be attentive to your surroundings and grab handles if you're approaching triggers or are ever uncertain.

Increase Training Opportunities

Reduce the physical and emotional stress of walking multiple dogs and put your new-found energy into connecting deeper with your canine companions. Treat, pet and apply your training approach with a new sense of optimism and enjoy revelling in the results!

Express Your Personal or Company Brand

We love colour! Not only is colour an immediate visual cue that identifies who is connected to what, but it's also an opportunity for you to express your company brand, personal style or your dog's most flattering colour.

Furthermore, your chosen colour scheme will look fetching in every photo and video you post!

FAQ

What gear do I need?

Our product pages and website resources are set up to address frequently asked questions. Please take the time to review them. We also posted many tutorials on our Instagram page. Please do your best to get to know our products and their uses before reaching out with specific questions.

If you still have questions you can schedule a video consultation, call us during store hours at (647) 545-3647 or visit our Toronto Headquarters.

We no longer provide general gear recommendations via email or direct message — we've got too much good stuff to tell you! Let's figure out your gear needs through more efficient means.

Is TinyHorse gear safe?

To ensure safe use of our gear, we have implemented various design measures and provided advice for best practices. It is highly recommended that you never leave the gear on dogs when they are unsupervised. When introducing new dogs to your group, use a solo line rather than connecting them to the main group. Additionally, always be aware of your surroundings and exercise caution on treacherous surfaces such as ice or gravel, especially when you are physically attached to our gear.

How are TinyHorse products priced?

Our product line is priced to reflect the unparalleled quality and innovation that goes into each unique design, production process, and customer service interaction.

We source only the finest materials for our goods, which are meticulously handcrafted in Canada with a strong emphasis on ethical practices that reduce harm for pets, people and the planet.

Our commitment to 5-star customer support is evident through video tutorials, personalized consultations, and ongoing assistance. When comparing our products to generic pet items, the difference is immediately visible.

Investing in our tools means investing in the success of your business, fostering meaningful connections with the dogs you handle, and prioritizing your personal well-being.

Do you have an ambassador program?

We are developing an ambassador program now and hope to launch it for Spring 2024.

We are working on it. Please contact us to join the wholesale email list.

What training methods does TinyHorse subscribe to?

We are learning and have yet to settle on a particular methodology, but naturally our approach has been force-free and compassion-forward.

We're big on making the most of your time with your crew using treats, games and engagement — even something as simple as routinely saying every dog's name while leashed at the end of a walk, waiting for individual eye contact and giving a treat or physical touch goes a long way in bond-building in our experience.

That said, we respect everyone in their dog-handling journey, and realize that there are many behavioural scenarios we have zero experience with.

Getting to know and being with dogs is an infinite process and we wish for everyone to be open to new ideas, peer-reviewed research and to be compassionate. Stay curious!

We are fans of Toronto-Based educators EduCanine. They have excellent resources for both dog lovers and dog-care professionals, and in 2023 they held Canada's first-ever conference on dog training. We attended, and it was illuminating!
